Hunt One of BC’s Best Bear Regions
The Sawtooth region of southeastern British Columbia is consistently rated among the province’s top bear habitats — for both black and grizzly bears. A recent BC government study identified this zone as one of the highest-quality bear ecosystems in North America, thanks to abundant food sources, ideal terrain, and limited hunting pressure.
Our remote valleys, ridgelines, and timber cuts offer the perfect landscape for thrilling spot-and-stalk spring hunts, with high visibility and excellent bear density.
Proven Success – High Bear Numbers, Color Phase Variety
We average 90+% success on our spring black bear hunts, with clients often seeing multiple bears per day — sometimes as many as 8–10 in one evening.
In addition to classic black coats, our area holds a strong percentage of color-phase bears, including cinnamon, chocolate, and blonde. There are no trophy fees and no hidden add-ons — just honest opportunity.
Spot & Stalk, with Optional Hound Add-On
Our standard hunts are spot-and-stalk — a fast-paced, exciting way to hunt spring bears, using 4x4s, ATVs, and hiking to glass open meadows, roadsides, and burn areas.
For hunters looking to experience something unique, we also offer an optional hound hunting add-on. Watch a trained pack work scent trails and chase bears through steep terrain — a thrilling method steeped in tradition.
Note: Hound hunting is only available as a combo on select dates. Ask for details.
Hounds Bred & Trained In-House
We don’t just run hounds — we breed and train our own bloodlines for clients and outfitters across North America. Our dogs are conditioned year-round and have exceptional tracking instincts. Even on combo hunts, the spot-and-stalk remains a core part of your bear experience.
Season & Spring Atmosphere
Spring is a magical time to hunt in BC. Snow still caps the peaks while the lower elevations green up with fresh vegetation — a major draw for foraging bears. Long daylight hours mean you’ll often hunt early morning and evening, with time during the day to rest, explore, or fish.
