“Every hunter who joins us deserves a fair chase, a hardworking guide, and the kind of experience you talk about for years. That’s what we aim to deliver.”
— Ryan Berard, Owner & Outfitter
At Sawtooth Outfitters, we’re not here to make a quick buck — we’re here because we love the mountains, the hunt, and sharing it all with people who feel the same. What sets us apart isn’t just our trophy potential or beautiful terrain — it’s our commitment to doing things the right way. That means integrity, professionalism, and respect for the land, the wildlife, and the people we guide.
These principles guide how we operate, every day:
Deliver an Extraordinary Hunting Experience
We know a guided hunt is a major investment — in both time and money. That’s why we limit the number of hunters we take each year. You won’t find overcrowded camps or rushed days here. Instead, you’ll find well-maintained cabins, quality meals, hardworking guides, and some of the most breathtaking terrain in North America.
While we never guarantee a kill, we do promise a serious opportunity at world-class game and a hunting experience you’ll never forget.
Be Highly Competent Professionals
We hand-pick our guides for their ethics, backcountry skill, and grit. They’re among the best in the business — and we treat them as such. We believe great guides are the foundation of a great hunt, and our crew will always give you everything they’ve got.
Be Stewards of the Land
We don’t just use the land — we take care of it. That means maintaining habitat, clearing slides, and managing harvest responsibly. We’d rather take fewer hunters and preserve long-term quality than squeeze out short-term gains. Sustainability is the only way forward.
Operate with the Highest Ethical Standards
We follow all game laws and hold ourselves to the Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia’s code of ethics — and then some. Our word matters. When you hunt with us, you can trust that everything is done by the book and with respect.
