Hunting Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep is considered by many to be the ultimate test of a hunter’s skill, endurance, and determination. Our Sheep area in the remote Mountains of British Columbia offers a rare opportunity to pursue this iconic species in rugged, high-country terrain where rams thrive.
The bighorn population in our region has been doing exceptionally well in recent years, thanks to consistently mild winters and proactive predator management. Rams here grow to impressive maturity and inhabit some of the most scenic and secluded basins in our entire concession.
This hunt is not for the faint of heart — but for those in top physical condition, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We typically use a combination of horseback access and extensive hiking to reach remote basins and ridgelines where rams bed and feed. From there, we glass and plan strategic stalks to get you into range.
Early-season hunts take place in warm weather and stunning alpine country, often in the same areas where we find mature mule deer and mountain goats. Later-season hunts bring the sheep down to lower elevations, opening up new terrain and stalking options.
You can expect rustic mountain spike camps, lightweight backpacking setups, or comfortable cabin lodging depending on your hunt preferences and timing. As always, we tailor the hunt to match your goals and comfort level.
With limited tags available each year, early booking is highly recommended.
